Merchandising:
I have been toying around with the idea of incorporating merchandising options featuring characters from I Don’t Think So! into my offerings.
I ordered a small quantity of kids’ T-shirts as samples, featuring two different designs. In each photo, the shirt on the left depicts the front and the shirt on the right side depicts the back:

I Don’t Think So! is currently on backorder by the distributor, which is good news in terms of sales but bad news in terms of purchasing options.

4. Hobby Corner – New!
Those who know me well understand my love for decorating, gardening and miniatures! New this month, I’m featuring photos that highlight one of these interests in each issue.
My Aunt Cil and my cousin, Brenda, who subscribe to my newsletter, love gardening as well. Therefore, I’m dedicating this month’s feature on gardening to them.
By the way… Happy Birthday, Brenda!
This light pink Crepe Myrtle, tucked adjacent to the front walkway is especially gorgeous this year!
Last year, I decided to forgo summer/fall annuals and plant Miss Huff Lantana, which typically grow as perennials in Georgia. The ones near our front door have grown into a beautiful “shrub”. They were planted last summer!
I would be remiss if I didn’t feature the two college flags adjacent to the Lantana in honor of our two kids… Go Vols!! Go Dawgs!!
5. Surprise Giveaway – New!
July Giveaway:
I was truly overjoyed by the number of people who entered the giveaway during my Awareness Tour.
I am sure many of you were disappointed about not winning prizes.
As a result, I have decided to feature a giveaway this month and will incorporate surprise giveaways into select newsletters in the future!
Below are the rules and logistics for this month’s giveaway:
The Prize:
Your choice of one of the following:
1. A signed copy of I Don’t Think So! and a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card or…
2. Your choice of one of the sample kids’ T-shirts featured in this newsletter (all shirts are children’s size M) and a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card.
How to Enter:
1. Ask two new individuals to subscribe to my newsletter via the Newsletter tab of my site.
2. Once they have subscribed, please send me the first name and last initial of the two individuals via the Comments section so I know that you referred them (I can see all new subscribers, but not who referred them).
Important!
Subscribing is a two-step process:
a. The individual completes the subscription e-form.
b. The individual confirms their subscription once they receive an email from my site.
You will not be entered into the contest until both steps have been completed by the two new subscribers.
How the Winner Will be Selected:
1. For every two individuals you encourage to subscribe, you will receive one entry.
2. For example, if you encourage four individuals to subscribe, you will receive two entries.
3. I will randomly select from all confirmed entries to determine the winner.
Rules:
1. One winner will be selected.
2. All new subscribers must be over the age of 25.
3. New subscribers should have an interest in children’s books.
4. The contest begins on Wednesday, July 23rd and ends on Saturday, August 23rd.
5. The winner will be notified via an e-mail (sent to the address used to subscribe) and in my August newsletter.
