1. Book Review

One of the reviews featured during my Virtual Awareness Tour of I Don’t Think So!, hosted by The Children’s Review was written by Deliciously Savvy.

Check it out below!

“My youngest and I absolutely enjoyed reading I Don’t Think So! by K. Joyner! This is an adorable book all about Mia, a young girl getting ready to start Kindergarten who is afraid to try anything new. Each time her new teacher asks her to do something…. she says…. ! Don’t Think So. BUT after meeting her new friend Cody at school and admiring how he was not afraid of anything new, she began trying things as he told her to look at these as adventures and not something to be scared of. The perfect example is how he asked her to jump over a puddle and she stated…. I Don’t Think So! and then Cody replied to think of it as a moat around a grand castle. They then pretended to have castle adventures and afterwards when Cody asked her again if she wanted to hop over the puddle…. this time Mia said yes! Similar situations happen throughout the book and by the book’s end Mia is now saying yes to new big adventures instead of being afraid of them and that is a beautiful life lesson for the little ones to learn! I highly recommend this book and will be gifting this one to my niece as she will absolutely love it!”

2. Special Announcement

Most of you initially subscribed to my site after the release of my memoir in 2023. Thank you for remaining as a subscriber as my genres continue to expand.

With this in mind, I have decided to revamp my website so that it provides a more cohesive experience and clearly conveys my mission and story.

I plan to have my modified site completed by the end of October and will introduce it in my October newsletter.

Thank you again for your support!

3. Hobby Corner

Everyone who knows me well understands that in addition to collecting miniatures, and gardening, I love to decorate.

Last month, I featured rooms from one of my miniature homes. This month, with the cooler weather that began a few weeks ago (although, summer weather recently returned to Georgia), I have been inspired to begin decorating the interior of our full-size home 😊 early for autumn.

I must give a great deal of credit to my good friend and one of the top designers in Atlanta, Loretta Willis ofĀ Loretta’s Interior Design, LLC, who designed our kitchen and a large portion of our main and upper levels. Our kitchen and main bedroom are both featured on Loretta’s Houzz Homepage (light blue and white rooms).

Enjoy the photos!
