Book Launch Appreciation Event:
- The outpouring of love and support during the Book Launch & Appreciation Event was extraordinary!
- Around 70 guests attended the event, which began with a delicious meal catered by Savory Gourmet, located in downtown Alpharetta.
- Music was provided by violinist, Nick Kohn who performed Classical and Classic Rock selections.
- Photographer Mark Meadows did an outstanding job capturing the event in photos
- I was so excited to be able to recognize some special guests who have gone above and beyond during my grief and book writing journeys:
- Bryan Apinis – A North Point Community Church Pastor and one of the kindest and most gracious individuals I know, who is mentioned in the book and had a profound impact on my healing
- Janet Brooks – My cousin, who edited the earlier versions of the book and encouraged me continuously as I wrote it
- Mark Goodman – A friend and fellow author whose book, “Forgiving a Good Man” about his life and his extraordinary story of forgiveness is slated to become a feature film, has helped me in so many ways
- Suzy Gray – A friend and North Point Community Church staff member who single-handedly coordinated the review of the North Point Community Church content of my book within a little over 13 hours!
- Pastor Lee Jenkins – Senior Pastor of Eagles Nest Church, located in Roswell, GA, who wrote the uplifting and moving foreword to my book
- Cynthia D. Jones – A new friend and fellow author who has helped me navigate my authorship journey and keeps me updated regarding book signing events and many other opportunities.
- Austin Joyner – My talented and smart son who was patient enough to intern for me this summer and has elevated my social media presence, created my web site, distributes my newsletters, films and edits my videos, provided excellent feedback regarding my manuscript and last but not least, is responsible for the beautiful illustrations on the cover and inside my book.
- Brooke Joyner – My smart and supportive daughter who gave me regular, solicited feedback regarding my marketing materials and book illustrations
- Keith Joyner – My smart, supportive and caring husband who, like Austin and Brooke, was with me during the toughest year of my life, who loved my parents and brother as much as me and provided consistent encouragement and praise during every stage of my book-writing process
- April Nelson – A good friend, very talented communications expert and former television news reporter who met with me, gave me some great advice concerning the launch of my book and continues to assist me in ways too numerous to mention
- Rena Olsen – A new friend who has a servant’s heart and has loaned her marketing expertise to assist me in so many ways
- Vickie Rueckert – My Restore (Grief) Mentor from North Point Community Church and now a good friend who is patient, caring and assisted me tremendously with healing after losing my loved ones
- Mike Washington – A good friend of my parents who has become a great friend of ours and has supported and encouraged me; he also introduced me to Cynthia Jones
- Loretta Willis – A great friend whose gift of gracious, but firm persuasion has directly and indirectly impacted my decision to become an author as well as other aspects of my life
- My Extended Family – The most loving, funny, caring and supportive extended family anyone could ever have; most of them attended Brooke’s high school graduation this past May and will return to Alpharetta to attend our now 3rd annual Joyner Family Thanksgiving, which began the year my loved ones passed away
- My Newsletter Subscribers – Thank you for your prayers, support, praise and encouragement
Pictures and video clips from the Book Launch Event will be available in Tomorrow's (8/29/23) scheduled Launch Week Post!
